THE Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been congratulated nationwide as it was rated above average for the candidates who sat for the Computer Based Test (CBT) 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, (UTME). However, as at the time of writing this report, only about 1.2 million candidates have received their results via SMS.
The estimated number of candidates who registered for JAMB 2015 is about 1.4 million. So apparently, 200,000 candidates are yet to see their results.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde said on Thursday, 19th March, 2015 in Abuja during the inspection of proceedings of the CBT examination at designated centres that only about 895,000 results have been released which does not equals the amount of results collected because, according to Dibu, some candidates who are yet to get their results may have given JAMB wrong phone numbers.
After the submission by Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, we calculate that about 305,000 JAMB CBT candidates would have checked their result within the space of Friday and Saturday night. Therefore, about 1.2 million candidates would have checked their results in total.
