THE School management of The University of Port Harcourt, Teaching Hospital School of Post-Basic Nursing Studies is inviting eligible and qualified Nurses for admission into its 12 calendar months Post-Basic Diploma Programme in Paediatric and Accident & Emergency Nursing for the 2015/2016 Academic session.
Eligibility
Interested applicants who want to apply for admission into the UPTH post-basic nursing programmes MUST possess the following(s).
(i) SSCE with five(5) credits in not more than two(2) sittings.
NOTE: The O’level result MUST include English Language, Mathematics, Biology (not Health Science) physics and chemistry.
Also, combination of NECO and WAEC are acceptable.
(ii) Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience
(iii) B.NSc with a PGDE is an added advantage .
On Admission: Selection of successful candidates will be based on academic qualification and performance at the aptitude test/entrance examination and oral interview.

Suitably qualified nurse are expected to pay a non-refundable fee of Five thousand naira, (N5,000) only to the bank account below;

After payment, you are to present the teller at the office receipt and on presentation of evidence of such payment, obtain an application form from the Administrative Office of the School of Post-Basic Nursing Studies on or before Thursday 24th July, 2015.
Interview
(iv) Entrance Examination will hold in the SPBNS AUDTORIUM as follows;
* Tuesday 28th July 2015 (Accident & Emergency Programme)
* Wednesday 29th July, 2015 (Paediatric Programme)
Time: 10:00am prompt for both.
Applicants Should Come With The Following Items/Documents
Eligible candidates are expected to come along with their writing materials for the examination.
Warning: Mobile phones of all types (i.e. Iphone, ipad, samsung galaxy, Nokia torch, Techno etc) are NOT allowed into the exam hall
(v) Applicants should make necessary arrangement for their accommodation and feeding throughout the duration of the interview.
