I know a lot of Candidates when they are seeking of Admission, they are all in the “serious student” mood, but when they gain admission, they throw all reasoning to the wind and forgot the main reason why they are in school.
The management of University of Ibadan have requested 78 students of the institution to withdraw based on poor academic performance.
The Senate of UI, which sat in May, made the recommendation based on records made available to it by various faculties of the university.
The menu, issued by the school senate, stated that the affected students were from 13 faculties and that they failed to obtain the minimum academic requirements for the 2012/2013 academic session.
According to the senate, 6 of the withdrawn students gained admission into the university through the Direct Entry mode, 66 through University Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME) while 6 got into the university through UME.
The menu, which was signed by the Registrar of University of Ibadan, Olujimi Olukoya, said the premier university would continue to uphold the highest standards.
This will serve as a warning for Jamb 2014 candidates who are seeking for admission. Don’t disgrace your sponsors!
