We are glad to inform the general public that The University of Port Harcourt(Uniport) has re-opened for academic activities weeks after it was shut-down, following protests against the murder of the four students of the Institution by some Aluu People. (A memory that will remain in the heart of many)
The Public Relations Officer of the University of Port Harbour, Dr. William Wodi, confirmed, on Wednesday, 7th November 2012, that the Senate of Uniport had meeting on wednesday 7th Nov. and ordered the resumption of the institution, he added that lectures will resume on Monday, 12th November.
According to Dr. William Wodi, he said and I Quote “I can confirm to you that the Senate met in an emergency meeting on Wednesday and directed that the University be reopened immediately for resumption of normal academic activities.
“All students have been directed to return to the campus between now and the weekend, while lectures will commence on Monday.”
We therefore advice all the students of the university of port harcourt to return to school before lectures begin properly.
