UNILAG Shut Down Indefinitely Following Students Protest

The school authority of The University of Lagos, Unilag, has been shut down indefinitely following the violent protests by students on 7th April 2016.

It was gathered that the senate of UNILAG took the decision to close down the Institution during an emergency meeting on Thursday, 7th April.

From the statement released by the management, this move is to prevent a break down of Law and order adding that the challenges faced by the students are connected with the lingering fuel scarcity in the country and was put into consideration before coming to this decision.

Students were given till 10am today to vacate the school premises.
