University of Benin (UNIBEN) Resumption Date for 2020/2021 Academic Session [UPDATED]

This is to inform all the staff and students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) that the resumption date for the 2020/2021 academic session has been announced.

[Update] According to the management of the University of Benin, the UNIBEN Resumption date for freshers and returning students for the 2020/2021 academic session has been revealed.

UNIBEN Resumption Date

The Management of the Institution (University of Benin) has approved the resumption date for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

Fresh students are expected to come into the Halls of Residence on Sunday, 8th August 2021, while their online clearance and registration continue on Monday 9th August.

Returning (Old) students are expected on campus on Sunday, 15th August 2021, to commence registration of courses on Monday 16th August, after payment of school charges.

According to the management, registration by all students (freshers and old students) closes on Friday, 3rd September 2021, after which date, students will no longer have access to the university’s portal.

Please be mindful that students will neither be allowed into the Halls of Residence nor registered for courses without payment of school charges.

Furthermore, students residing in the school hostels are expected to have, at least, five washable face masks and two 5mls vials of hand sanitizers each, while the generality of staff and students are to constantly wear their facemasks as the COVID-19 protocols will be strictly enforced by the University.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami, on behalf of Management, looks forward to welcoming all students to campus for a most fulfilling academic session.
