The latest report reaching us is that The Ogun State Government on Wednesday sack the VC of Tai Solarin University of Education, (TASUED) Ijebu-Ode, Segun Awonusi, Nigeria and subsequently announced a replacement.
A statement to this effect from the Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, which was made available to journalists in Abeokuta, affirmed the appointment of Oluyemsi Obilade as the new Vice-Chancellor.
“The Ogun State Government has approved the appointment of Professor Oluyemisi Oluremi Obilade as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun,” Mr. Adeoluwa said. “Government has also relieved the current Vice-Chancellor, Professor Segun Awonusi of his appointment.”
Now the government has the right to Dismiss any Vice Chancellor who refuse to follow their guideline.
