Sad News: 8 Students Injured As Govt School Building Collapses In Abuja

Yesterday being frideay, 27th September, 2013 in Nyanya, a satellite town and a suburb in the nation’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. it was reported that a storey building in one of the FCT owned Government Secondary School, GSS collapsed with 8 students critically injured.

One of the student of the School told Vanguard News men that a section of the balcony of one of the storey buildings was affected, just as all the female students involved in the incident sustained various degrees of injuries, including broken limbs.
Sadly, one of the students who fell head down lost half her teeth immediately and some of the victims of the incidence have since been rushed to the Maitama General Hospital in Abuja, but luckily, no life was lost.
We hope that the Federal Government will always check the secondary schools and see if any of it needs repair, this is not the first time this is happening this year.

We pray that the injured victims recover fully.
