LATEST information reaching us here at nigeriaschool.com.ng has it that the school management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife has shut down the school indefinitely following incessant protest by students of the institution.
However, the public Relations Officer of the institution has debunked the news, according to him, the management only gave the students a mid-semester break.
While speaking with some of the students, they said there are strong indications that the sudden mid-semester break is the aftermath of the students’ protest which has lasted for some days now.
The OAU students have been protesting the poor living conditions, epileptic water and power supply in their hostel.
