OAU Loses Accreditation for Law, Dentistry, Botany (NUC)

Breaking News: National Universities Commission reportedly suspends 4 courses in OAU! The latest report reaching us here at nigeriaschool has it that the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has lost NUC’s accreditation for four of the courses offered in the institution.

National Universities Commission reportedly suspends 4 courses in OAUOAU Loses NUC Accreditation for Law, Dentistry, Botany

The affected OAU courses are:

  • Law,
  • Dentistry,
  • Medical Rehabilitation and Botany.

The above mentioned courses have been suspended by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

We were reliably informed that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB sent messages to candidates who applied for the affected courses in the 2018 JAMB UTME to change their courses or institutions immediately.

The message sent by JAMB reads, “Your first choice course did not receive accreditation. Login to your profile and change course/institutions.”

Mr Abiodun Olarenwaju, the spokesperson for OAU confirmed the report but added that efforts are being made to sort out the issue latest by September, 2018.
