Latest report reaching us has it that the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has announced that 2017 BATCH “B” STREAM II orientation course scheduled to start on Tuesday, 16th January, 2018 has been suspended in Benue and Taraba State.
The agency made this announcement on its twitter handle to all the PCMs, posted to Benue and Taraba State. It noted that a new date will be communicated to them in due course.
“The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC management wishes to inform all Prospective Corps Members who are deployed to Benue and Taraba states that the 2017 Batch B stream II orientation course scheduled to hold in Benue camp has been suspended for now. A new date will be communicated to all affected PCMs in due course,” the agency said.
Probably, the reason why NYSC Suspends orientation course in Benue & Taraba States is because both of them have suffered terribly from the Fulani Herdsmen leading to scores of death.
The agency had previously fixed January 16th for the opening of orientation camps for prospective Batch B, Stream 2, corps members nationwide.
With this development, the NYSC Batch B, stream 2 orientation camp will commence on the 16th January, only in 13 states and Abuja.
