The management of the National Open University of Nigeria has decided that the NOUN 19th Matriculation Ceremony be postponed indefinitely. This decision is in line with the Federal Government initiatives to avoid or prevent the threat of health dangers associated with the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic.

The management regrets any inconveniences that this postponement may have caused.

THIS is to inform all the newly admitted students of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN that the management of the institution in a press release stated that the Freshers’ 19th Matriculation ceremony date for the 2019/2020 academic session has been POSTPONED.

NOUN Matriculation Ceremony Date

The management of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is using this medium to inform all the newly admitted students of the institution, their sponsors/parents, well-wishers as well as members of the general public that the 19th Matriculation Ceremony meant to officially usher in the new intakes has been postponed.

According to the press release, the NOUN matriculation ceremony will serve as a platform for formally welcoming all freshmen admitted into the University for the 2019/2020 Academic Session.

NOUN matriculation ceremony for freshers will hold as follows;

  • Date: Saturday 4th April 2020
  • Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
  • Venue: NOUN Study Centers Nationwide

Therefore, The collection of matriculation gowns commences on 21st March 2020 and will end on the 3rd April 2020 (before the commencement of orientation programme).

Requirement For The Collection of Matriculation Gowns

  • All students are expected to come with their printed Admission letters and Course registration forms.
  • The academic gowns are to be returned between 6th April – 10th April 2020.
  • Most study centers may ask for a token at the point of collection of gowns and refund it when you returned the matric gowns.

Kindly Note that there shall be sanctions for any damages done to the collected gowns and matriculation caps.

The management of NOUN Nigeria invites parents and guardians of all freshmen and the general public to the event.
