MTN Foundation Awards 1,372 scholarships to Science and Tech. students

THE latest news reaching us has it that about 1,205 science and technology inclined students and 167 brilliant blind students across the country were over the weekend in Federal University of Technology Owerri, (Futo) offered scholarship in the 2014 MTN Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship awards for the blind students. The Director of the foundation, Dennis Okoro, while speaking with newsmen said that the Foundation had concluded plans to be in Abuja, the federal capital territory where successful students in the northern region would enjoy the gesture and thereafter, extend same to those from the western region which would be held in Lagos on the December 9th 2014.

MTN Foundation Awards scholarships

Dennis said that the aim of the Scholarship was to celebrate academic excellence in students who had worked extremely hard and who had unquestionably deserved an opportunity to continue to pursue their dreams of a higher education.

He congratulated the recipients assuring them that the Foundation would continue to support them as long as they maintain the required cumulative grade point average, CGPA, scores every year.
