It is no longer news that Kwara State Polytechnic, Unilorin has been shut down over student protesting (you can read the full post here) The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed on Tuesday during the student of kwara state polytechnic prostesting, narrowly escaped being attacked by irate mob who are protesting in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The protesters also prevented the the Governor from inaugurating some of the completed projects in commemoration of the two years anniversary of the administration. from our reliable source, we learnt that the governor, Alhaji Ahmed was on his way to inaugurate some of the projects when information reached him that one of his advance pilot vehicles had been burnt at Mubo Street, near Maraba Junction which was one of the roads for inauguration.
He was said to have called off all projects’ inauguration. The protesters were also said to have chased away the crowd waiting for Ahmed to inaugurate another road project at Kulende-Royal Valley estate.

Currently the Kwara State polytechnic, Unilorin has been shut down until further notice, and we advice all students who value their lives to go home until the strike is called off.
