Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja Closed Down Indefinitely, As Students Stab Lecturer to Death!

The Students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja on Thursday night, 18th April, 2013 stabbed a senior lecturer of the school, Mr.Anthony Abimaje, to death during a riot that broke out on campus. freebrowsinglink.com

According to the report, the lecturer, who was on his way to pick his wife and daughter who sells provision at the school centre, when he came to the scene of the riot, he was stabbed in the stomach by the angry students.
Investigation was conducted and it was revealed that Mr Amebija was a strict lecturer who was fond of refusing bribe to award marks to students which apparently put him in the ‘black book’ of the students.

According to the source, ‘when the students sight him, the forgot their riot, stopped his car, dragged him out, turned the fight on him and stabbed him repeatedly in the stomach and left him bleeding on the ground’.

Mr Amebija, who taught research methodology and entrepreneurship before his death, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Following the incident, the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja has been shut down indefinitely, even though the students had commenced their semester examination.
The Rector Professor Matthew Idowu Ajibero announced the indefinite closure of the polytechnic.

On NTA News, the students were seen packing their belongings and hurriedly flee from the School Premises. Armed Police men where seen patroling the school and everywhere was deserted.
Any Person who can stab his fellow Human to death is not worth living.
The problem is, Nigeria will never be able to arrest the people behind the killing.
