Jamb 2015 UTME: Imo State Has the Highest Number Of Applications

Imo State, (Not Imo State University) has the highest number of applicants and this statistics is provided by the Jamb Registrar.
According to Jamb registrar, about 104,381 candidates living in Imo state apply for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Examination.

The second state with the highest applicants is Delta State with about 78,854 candidates.

And the third state is Anambra State with a total of 77,689 candidates while FCT – Abuja has the lowest with 4,085.

Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states, where Boko Haram has displaced several residents, also rank among the lowest with 15,692, 15,613 and 10,044 candidates respectively.

Jamb registrar, Ojerinde said that the decline in the number of applications when compared to that of last year to is as a result of insecurity in some parts of the country, adding that the registration for the Computer-Based Test, CBT had also eliminated the incidence of dual or multiple registration by candidates.

Note: Jamb 2015 Examination will begin on Monday, 9th March, 2015.
