IMSU V.C, Prof. Awuzie Suspended, Prof. Victoria Appointed Ag. VC
LATEST report reaching us here at nigeriaschool.com.ng has it that the Imo State Govt, has suspended Prof. Ukachukwu Aloysius Awuzie as Imo State University Vice Chancellor.
In his stead, Professor Victoria Adaobi Obasi has been appointed by the Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, as the new Acting Vice Chancellor of Imo state university.
The Public Relations Officer of IMSU, Mr. Ralph Njoku confirmed the sack of Prof. Awuzie to newsmen.
Reasons for the sack is unknown as at the time of writing this report.
But the Public Relations Officer: Mr. Ralph said the sack may be connected to the strike action embarked by the IMSU lecturers a few weeks ago over non-payment of salaries.
We will update this post as the mystery behind the sack is made public. But the fact is; IMSU now have a new Vice Chancellor, in the person of Prof. Victoria Adaobi. (Congrats to her).
