The latest information reaching us is that The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (Funaab) and Galilee Management Institute,(GMI) Israel are fine-tuning arrangements to develop joint programmes for the benefit of the students/universities.
The President of Galilee Management Institute, GMI, Dr. Joseph Shevel disclosed this info to the FUNAAB Bulletin after his visit to the Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole.
Dr. Shevel who was accompanied by two other staff of GMI revealed that under the proposed collaboration, some Senior Academic Staff of the University will be sent to the Institute in Isreal to Lecture for a period/semester?.
Dr. Shevel said and we quote, “We came here because we want to develop new programmes, through this programme, we will start sending some of the Professors to our Institute to teach. This is the type of collaboration we are looking at and it will help many.
in the next few weeks or days, the Council of the University is coming to the Galilee. While there, we will sit down and design the programme” He said.
Receiving Dr. Shevel and his team, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oyewole approve the cordial relationship between the University and the Institute, which he said has been waxing stronger day by day.
He, therefore, appealed to the Institute, to in the interest of the relationship give the University concession in the areas of tuition fee and sponsorship of staff to GMI for training.
