The latest information reaching us here on www.nigeriaschool.com reveals that the senate of the Federal polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Nigeria on Tuesday, 28th January, 2014 expelled 26 students of the Institution and rusticated 22 others for one academic session.
This information was contained in a statement by its Registrar, Mr. Matthew Aligbe, in Owerri.
The registrar, Mr. Aligbe said the affected students were found guilty of examination misconduct during the First Semester of 2012/2013 academic session by the disciplinary panel, set up by the school authorities to manage the school.
The rector told newsmen that 54 students appeared before the disciplinary panel, one of the students was asked to retake some courses while five students were exonerated from any misconduct after thorough investigations.
He further said that the polytechnic would not in any way compromise its high academic standard, adding that the students who displayed acts of misconduct would not be tolerated.
Mr. Matthew Aligbe urged the management of other tertiary institutions as well as members of the public to take note of the details of the affected students posted in the school’s website.
*Note* Jambites who are made Federal Polytechnic, Nekede their choice should take note that the school has no room for all play with no work like her sister University, IMSU, were you can play for all the session and still get an “A” in all your papers!
