Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa has opted out ASUP Strike, Resume 9th June, 2014!

The latest information reaching us reveals that The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa has also opted out of the protracted Strike embarked by the academic staff union of polytechnic, ASUP.
The school management said the school will resume academic activities on the 9th of June, 2014 which is next week.

The Academic Staff of Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has been struggling to ensure that their demands are met before they return to school, but it seems like they are at the losing end, and their demands will not be met before all the polytechnic start pulling out of the protracted strike.

Yesterday, we are reliably informed that the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri has also pulled out of the strike and will resume academic activities on Monday, 9th June, 2014 – you can read the full detail here.

The following Polytechnics has also pulled out of the ASUP Strike.
* The Federal Polytechnic, Bida
* Akanu Ibiam, Federal Polytechnic Uwana
* Federal Polytechnic, Kebbi
* Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure in Jigawa State.

We are sure if the strike is not called off before the ending of this month (June) more Polytechnics will opt out of the strike.

what then is ASUP striking for when all the polytechnics are opting out one by one? I seriously believe that even Dr chibuzo is tired of this ASUP strike but he is wondering how to just end the fruitless strike with shame. please end this nonsense. they don’t even know what they wanted. student were fooled that ASUP was fighting for them. what a waste of time! God please help Nigeria.
