WE have been reliably informed that The Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State has received accredition for 12 new programmes by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
This was made known by the rector of the polytechnic, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yahya, at a meeting of the school’s governing council.
According to Alhaji Sadiq, 13 programmes were submitted to NBTE for accreditation, of which 12 were approved after the quality assurance scrutiny by the board.
Alhaji Yahya said the accreditation covered four Higher National Diploma (HND) courses and eight National Diploma (ND) programmes comprising science and technology and management.
He also said the NBTE has given the Mubi polytechnic approval to admit students for the 12 new programmes for the 2013/2014 academic session.
