Greatest Nigerian Students. It is sadden to wake up to another unfathomable, unwanted and unjustifiable injustice. The rift between the Management and all the Trade Unions (ASUP, NASUP, SSANIP) in the School.
While the Management blamed it on recent action (de-migration of migrated staff) on the failure of the Federal Government to pay the arrears of Migrated staff across all Federal Institutions, the Trade Unions said that the Management didn’t inform them before embarking on the de-migration exercise that led to salaries reduction of members.
Moreover, the Trade Unions also said that the management should pay up the accumulated money(about N300 million) it owes their Cooperative Societies.
Being a critical Stakeholder in the Polytechnic Community, The students’ Union President, Comrade Ajibola Oladapo with the General Secretary, Comrade Ifeoluwa Filani and P.R.O, Comrade Yakubu Temitope on monday, 8th Sept, 2014 met with the Leadership of ASUP and also the Representative of the Management in order to cross-examine the claims emanating from the two parties.
While we appeal to both parties involved to go back to the negotiation table, the Students’ Union urges all Students to remain calm and wait for the announcement of the death of this unwanted, unparallel and unnecessary industrial action.
The Students’ Union is also giving the Management and all the Trade Unions involve 7 days to settle their dispute and put an end to this industrial action or expect mother of all rallies that will paralyze all Business activities in Ado Ekiti.
Our right to good education should not be ignored and forgotten.

La lucha sigue
Nil desperandum amandla awetu…
Never despair, Great Adopolites for NOTHING shall discourage us.
When we speak with one of the student, Ogunleye Oluwaseyi, he has this to say: “its such a pathetic dismal abysmal that within d short academic incumbency am outlaying as a poly Educate have encountered strike of two times within this microscopical period. Am exhorting and importunating the staff and unions of this great citadel of eruditeness to please put an end to this emanating internecine strike. Thanks …. ND1 S.L.T”
For fear of interpreting, we didn’t bother to ask another student!
