2013/2014 SECOND SEMESTER EXAM COMMENCES ON MONDAY 20TH APRIL, 2015
Full time students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado – Ekiti will start their second semester examination for the 2013/2014 academic session come Monday, 20th and end on Thursday, 30th April, 2015.
A circular issued by the Academic Registry Office after a meeting of the Polytechnic’s Academic Board conveyed the Revised Academic Calendar for the conclusion of the Second Semester 2013/2014 Academic Session as follows:
Monday 20th – Thursday 30th April, 2015 – 2013/2014 second semester examination
Monday, 4th May, 2015- SIWES begins
Friday, 1st – Sunday, 10th May, 2015 – Marking Project defense Moderation and processing of Marked Scripts/Result
Wednesday, 27th May, 2015- Approval/Release of all results by the Academic Board.
Even though details of the 2014/2015 Academic Calendar were yet to be released as at press time, Newsflash gathered that lectures for ND I and HND I full time students will commence on Monday, 1st May, 2015.
TWO HOURS LECTURE FREE PERIOD RE-EMPHASISED FOR FRIDAYS
With a view to further strengthening the existing religious harmony within the Polytechnic Community, the Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado – Ekiti has re-emphasised that the hours of 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm every Friday be set aside as Lecture-free to enable the Muslim faithful attend the Jumah Service every Friday.
This was disclosed in a circular to the Polytechnic Community signed by the Deputy Registrar in the Academic Affairs Registry, Mr. S.O. Adeniyi.
According to the circular, it had been a matter of Policy for the Polytechnic to avail Muslims the opportunity to attend their Jumah Service every Friday in the Polytechnic for quite while now?
It enjoined all staff and students of the Polytechnic, most especially lecturers, to comply with the directive.
