The latest information reaching our news desk has it that the Kogi state Police Commissioner, Sai’du Madawaki arrested some students of the Kogi State University, (Ksu) for robbery.
According to the commissioner, the suspects who were alleged to be cultists had gone to rob an occupant of a white house phase 11 lodge in Ayingba when the police received a tip off an acted immediately which later leads to the arrest of the students.
According to the report, a gun battle ensued between the police and the robbers which led to the death of one of the robbers, known as Rumba Menebe, who was said to be a student of the Kogi state University and a son of a prominent professor in the institution.
In a similar development, Babatunde Obaniro, a 23-year old, Mechanical Engineering student of the same institution was nabbed for burglary.
According to police source, the suspects will soon be charged to court.
