According to the report, the 4 months old strike action by the Academic staff Union of Universities, ASUU may be suspended tomorrow, saturday, 16th November, 2013 after positive negotiations between leaders of ASUU and the President Jonathan Led Federal Government, Last week monday.
The suspension of the strike is going in a positive way as a higher number of Universities has voted in favour of the suspension of the 2013 ASUU strike. We also heard that University of Jos has voted for the call-off the lingering strike.
Despite the tragic car incident that happened on tuesday morning, which claim the life of the former president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof. Festus Iyayi, we believe that the ASUU – National Executive Council, (NEC) meeting this Saturday, would be positive, especially in honour of the Past Leader, Professor Festus Iyayi, and also in respect of the Nigerian Universities students. (we are always going to stay positive until this strike is called-off).
The proceeding of the meeting will be made on Saturday or Sunday, and we are very sure the strike will be called of and all the Nigerian Students should prepare to return to their various schools.
