If you resid inside the school hostel, you will agree with me that this is a norm, for school management to give quick notice for all the students to leave the school hostel. If you don’t have a friend who lives outside campus, then you are on your own (aka. OYO).
Well, the latest report reaching us reveals that the school management of The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, (Ekitipoly) has given the directive that every student living in the hostel should vacate the hostel on or before 6pm tomorrow, 7th March, 2014. If you are a student of the above mentioned Polytechnic and you live in the school hostel and you are not around, then you need to make arrangement to return to school tomorrow or ask your friends to take care of your stuffs.
We were able to get hold of a student of Ekiti Polytechnic who was not happy with the school directive.
Fehintola Samson Olusola speaking: But I don’t understand how the school management team will just be reasoning irrationally and unreasonably like that.
How would you tell us to vacate the hostel like that. My supervisor hasn’t signed my project write-up not to talk of submitting it to my department. And moreover, there is nothing one can do tomorrow because there is a public holiday in Ekiti State of which lecturers may not come to school. They didn’t even consider those of us that came from a long distance (do not reside in Ekiti State). Where do they want us to go before we finally round-off and tidy up our project?
It’s better they reverse their decision.
