WE are using this medium to inform the members of the public and most especially the students of Akwa Ibom State University, AKSU, that the ongoing strike action by the Akwa Ibom State University staff has been CALLED OFF today, 2nd June, 2014 after series of meetings with the management.
If you recalled, about three days ago, the University teaching and non-teaching staff of Akwa Ibom State University, embarked on a strike action, calling the management of the Institution to address their unpaid salaries.
The strike action bring the academic activities to a halt.
The Vice Chancellor of AKSU, Prof. Sunday Petters assured the striking employees that the management would resolve the current salary situation soon.
The good news is that the strike has been called off and all the students of the institution are advice to return to classroom.
