ABSU Post UTME Screening Form

Applicants who select Abia State University as their first and second choice in the 2021 JAMB Examination and scored up to the University cut-off of 140 and above are hereby invited to register for the ABSU Post-UTME Screening exercise for the 2021/2022 academic session.

ABSU Admission Requirement (Eligibility)

Candidates;

  • who chose Abia State University as their FIRST and SECOND CHOICE, and those who did not choose the University at all in the 2021 UTME, but want to apply for a change of Institution on the JAMB portal are invited also.
  • who scored a minimum of 140 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • who possess the basic five O’level credit passes in accordance with the University’s Entry Requirements.
  • with Awaiting Results (AR) can also apply, but should so indicate in their form.

How to Obtain ABSU Post UTME Form

Step 1: Eligible candidates (those who scored 160 and above) should Log on to the ABSU official portal at: (abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and generate an invoice.

Step 2: Proceed to any branch of our designated Banks listed below and pay the sum of two thousand Naira (N2,000) only for the Aptitude Test.

The designated banks are:

  • ABSU Microfinance Bank;
  • Ecobank Plc
  • Zenith Bank Plc
  • First Bank Plc
  • Fidelity Bank Plc
  • Union Bank Plc

Step 3: After payment, go back to the ABSU portal (abiastateuniversity.edu.ng) and click on Applicant. When the page loads up, select ABSU Aptitude Test or CLICK HERE.

Step 4: Complete the Application Form, ensure you upload a clear passport photograph to avoid rejection of candidate and download a copy as evidence of registration.

Important Notice:

  • Applicants should ensure that their correct details are captured during the application for the ABSU Post-UTME screening test.
  • Applicants are not required to upload any photograph or biometric capture, as pictures and biometric of candidates have been supplied by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
  • Those who do not register for the Post UTME Screening Exercise will not be considered for Admission.
  • However, Foreign candidates, Inmates of Correctional Centers (Prisons), as well as, Blind and Deaf candidates are exempted from the Abia State University Post UTME Screening Exercise.

Abia State University Post UTME Screening Date

The ABSU Post-UTME Screening Exercise has been scheduled to commence from 12th October to 14th October 2021.

Time: The screening test will commence at 10.00 am on each of the designated days.

Day 1: Tuesday, 12th October 2021

Medicine and Surgery, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Sciences, Anatomy, Physiology, Public Health, Optometry, and Pharmacy.
Venue: Uturu Campus

Day 2: Wednesday, 13th October 2021

Faculty of Law and Agriculture
Venue: Umuahia Location

  • Faculty of Biological Sciences
  • Faculty of Physical Sciences
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Environmental Studies
  • Education/Agric, Education/Biology,
  • Education/Chemistry, Education/Maths Education/Physics

Venue: Uturu Campus

Day 3: Thursday, 14th October 2021

  • Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences
  • Faculty of Social Sciences
  • Faculty of Humanities
  • Edu/Accountancy, Edu/Economics, Edu/English, Edu/Fine Arts, Edu/French, Edu/Political Science, Edu/Religion, Edu/Social Studies, Edu/Government. Edu/Guidance and Counselling. Edu/Management & Planning.

    1. The school didn’t specify what to bring along. But most of the time, what is needed is your passport, jamb result slip.

  7. Please I’ve been trying to register for the screening i have generated an invoice and have gone to the bank to pay the fee but they said they’ve not seen anything on 2017 that is only 2016 so now what should i do.

    1. You will need credit pass in: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one of these; Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics.
      I guess you will need Mathematics to complete your O’level Requirements.

    1. Most of the time, you are required to come with the following documents;

      Candidates must present the Originals and photocopies of the following documents:

      Acknowledgement Slip
      Evidence of Payment
      UTME Result/DE Registration Slip
      SSCE Statement(s) of Result
      Two recent passport-sized photographs with white background
      Certificate of Indigeneship
      Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
      ‘A’ Level Statement of Result (for DE candidates only)

      So go with the items you have.
