AAUA to resume today, Lectures Begins 2nd December, 2013?

The Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, Registrar, according to the report reaching us has directed all her students after staying at home for five months due to the Strike embarked by the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU). We are told that the Registrar of AAUA Ondo State, Mr Bamidele Olotu directed the students to resume academic activities on Monday, 25th November, 2013?
According to him, Lectures are expected to begin from 2nd December, 2013.

As at the time of writing this report, The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has not officially called off the strike, AAUA has joined three other State Universities, Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT), Enugu, Ebonyi State University, EBSU and the Ibrahim Badamosi University, Lapai, in Niger State to re-open their gates for academic activities.

The AAUA Vice-Chancellor, Prof Femi Mimiko, had tried to pull out of the ASUU strike in September but the local ASUU branch had resisted the move.

The school registrar, Mr Bamidele Olotu said the students of the Institution should continue their registration on the school portal immediately.

The AAUA Student Union Government President, Mr. Julius Adeniyi welcomed the development and assured his fellow students of a hitch-free semester.
He said and I quote, “We are dying and rusting at home; and I am backing my Vice Chancellor on the resumption date. We are coming in and nothing will happen.”
