Latest information reaching us has it that Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, AAUA has been shut down indefinitely due to the violent student’s protest.

The violent students’ protest which led to the destruction of property within and outside the institution, the authorities of the Ondo State-owned Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) has directed the immediate closure of the school.

Also the ongoing AAUA semester examinations has been suspended until further notice.

The students were protesting the death of their colleague, who was knocked down by a motorcyclist and later died in an ambulance while on the way top the medical centre.

The university management has directed all students to vacate the campus and halls of residence immediately.
