THE Joint Admission & Matriculation Board, JAMB has urged all the candidates sitting for the 2015 UTME to dispel their fears regarding the Computer Based Test, CBT.
This advice was made known to the public by the JAMB’s Head of Public Relations, Mr Fabian Benjamin. (www.nigeriaschool.com.ng)
According to Mr. Fabian, the Jambites candidates should embrace Computer Based Test, CBT as it would help restore glory to the country’s education system and also it will help curb Examination Malpractice.
Quoting Mr Fabian Benjamin; “
Once examination malpractice is not there anymore our education system will be on a sound footing; as far as CBT is concerned, I don’t think we had any challenge last year.
“The only challenge was the issue of the phobia by Nigerians over the CBT, but we have been able to overcome that and they are beginning to see that this is not as complex as they thought.
“We are getting very impressive responses from the candidates, from parents and from other stakeholders; so by the grace of God this year 2015 JAMB UTME is going to be a huge success.
“We are working with security agencies and they have been giving us assurances; moreover, our examination is after the elections.
“We believe that before we start, the elections would have come and gone. The CBT examination is not a one-day examination; it is beginning on March 4th, and it will stretch for two weeks.
” He stated.
