The students of the University of Lagos, on June 6th went on rampage/protesting the increased of N25,000.00 (Twenty Five thousand naira) on late course registration, due to the unrest carried out by the students, the authorities of the University of Lagos have revoked the decision to impose a N25,000 payment for late registration. (You know, sometimes, students win after a protest, but we are sure one way… the school will find a way to squeeze the money from the students someday…)

While addressing the protesting students, the dean of students affairs, Prof. O.O Amunda, addressed the students and directed that those who had made initial payment to present their tellers for FULL refund.

The students had earlier defied the early-morning downpour, by turning out en masse to shut the school gate against management and lecturers of the University, and also threaten to disrupt the upcoming convocation, scheduled for next week, if the decision was not reversed immediately.

Almost all the activities around the university were grounded, as the protesting students barricaded the road, thereby restricting vehicular movement.

“We are not happy,” one of the student told newsmen.
“How can we pay N25,000 extra when we have not even paid our school fees? They think it is easy?” Another said.
