The report reaching us reveals that the Vice Chancellor of The Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Prof. Barineme Fakae, has donated seven palm-top computers to the seven(7) first year students who made outstanding results in the 2012/2013 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor of RSUST, made the donation last Wednesday at the 32nd matriculation ceremony of the institution.
Prof. Fakae said that the palm-top computer donation was to encourage students on the need to be hardworking as regards their academics.
We also believed that part of the reason for the computer gift by the VC was to keep alive his determination to make the school totally IT compliance.
The seven lucky students were drawn from the seven faculties of Agriculture, Engineering, Environmental Sciences and Technical and Science Education.
The VC of Rivers State University, charged the students to always be of good behavior both outside and within the school premises, as to uphold the good image of the school.
Most students of the institution, are longing for IT programmes that would be organized by the school’s authority as to allow them benefit from the IT development of the school. (I love IT stuffs!)
The beneficiaries of the VC’s initiatives, have applauded him for his kind gesture and promised to work harder as to attract more prizes to the school.
Congratulations to all the hard-working students and I know for sure that their parents will be proud of them.
You too can do the same if you can just work a little harder than the other guy.
