We have just been reliably informed that Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) will remain closed until further notice, the students hopes of returning to school has been cut short by the State governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura he blamed the school authority for not conducting proper investigation before giving the students hope of returning to school.
If you recurred, the students of Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) engaged in riot over poor water supply in the institution, leading to alleged death of some of the students.
The deputy governor of the state, Damishi Luka said the issue which result to the crisis has not been resolved yet.
In his own words, the deputy governor Damishi Luka said on behalf on the state government and i quote.
“Therefore, the Nasarawa State University, Keffi will remain closed until the fundamental problems thatculminated in the crisis aresatisfactorily addressed within the shortest possible time. In doing so, government will be guided by the Committee’s findings.”
Some few days ago, The university authorities of Nasarawa State University Keffi announced that the school which was shut down after the violent riot in January, 2013 would be re-opened on Sunday, 28th April, 2013.
Now all the students of the institution should take note that the resumption date has been postponed indefinitely.
