LASU Students Protest, LAsu Shuts Down University Indefinitely

What is the cause of Lasu Riot on 23rd january, 2014?

As already stated above, The riot or violence started when the school management shut down the student portal preventing students from registering their second semester courses even though the banks are still collecting school fees from students, whose hope of registering gets slimmer by the day.

When the students Union Government, (SUG) went to plead on behalf of the students, the Vice Chancellor was reported as saying those yet to register are insignificant and would automatically have to carry the session over, a statement which infuriated the students and they decided to take laws into their hands by stoning the VC and which eventually led to the shutting down of the University by the Management of LASU.
