I believed a lot of people watched the 9:00pm NTA network news of 10th June as Jamb’s Registrar, Prof. Ojerinde defends the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB about the conduct and marking of the Jamb 2013 UTME.
According to the News on NTA Network, 132 candidates applied for the re-marking process and JAMB asked them to pay the sum of N100,000 (One hundred thousand Naira) and if JAMB is wrong, they will refund the N100.000 to them and give them an additional N100,000.
About 63 Jamb candidates paid for the Jamb re-marking and it was clear that all the candidates actually failed the test or didn’t shade properly. The process was caught on camera as the Jamb 2013 Candidates were scrutinized on live TV. (This is done live to show the credibility of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board in marking the exams). SO will this candidates lose their One hundred thousand naira?
Well, Jamb’s Registrar, Prof. Ojerinde later returned the N100,000 paid by the Jambites to them claiming that their integrity was all they wanted to defend , according to him, the board has been right in marking the papers. He also said that the Jambites got exactly what they scored.
This has shown that Jamb always mark the script according to what the student scored.
Doing some quick calculation, Jamb just refund about N6.3 Million !!!! So what do you think? do you still think that Jamb are wrong and the candidates right?
