We are already aware that the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities have been in closed meeting all throughout the night. When the Senate president was sent to the meeting by President GoodLuck Jonathan, and the result didn’t please him (The President), he came all by himself again and they ASUU/FG meeting continue in close door for more than 13 hours! While men were are sleep we are told by newsmen that the meeting between the President, and striking Lecturers of the Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ended this morning, at about 6:30am. (5th November, 2013)
Am sure the President is going to keep to his promise that come what may, the ASUU strike MUST end today. After all, he is the President?

The FG/ASUU indoor meeting which began at about 2:30pm yesterday 4th November, 2013, with the senate President, David Mark, without conclusion, and ended up with the President taking up proceedings at 6pm, as stated above.

Just like the primary and secondary students, the Parties went for a 15 Minutes break at 8pm and continued with the meeting at 9pm.

What were they doing for good 1hour? I thought the normal time for break period is 30minutes or less? Well, we were informed that the Union went to meet with their various members for decision to be taken that will end the ASUU Strike.

The good news about all this is that the meeting was consider fruitful! According to the ASUU President, Dr Nasir Fagge he said and i quote “The Meeting Was Fruitful”, though nothing more was said further.

More news about the ASUU strike will be made available here and we hope the ‘fruitfulness’ of the meeting will bring about the END of the ASUU 2013 Strike.
