The latest information reaching us from The Ebonyi State University has it that the EBSU Medical Students are on peaceful demonstration as the school management has order them to pay two(2) years extra school fees before they will be screened and induct as medical doctor.
The EBSU school fees which is N80,000.00 for non-indigene and N50,000.00 for indigene.
The medical student association has written to the Vice Chancellor of Ebonyi State University but he and his senate still insist that the Medical Students must pay the Two years fee.
Medicine is studied for six years in contemporary Varsities while in Ebonyi State University, students who applied for Medicinad are delayed for an additional two(2) years, yet they want them to pay for the Additional extra years?
Questions the students want to know is; Are they to pay or the school to pay for damages to the them (the Ebsu students)?
The EBSU Medical students are asking the Federal Government to intervene on their behalf.
