This is to inform all the candidates who has been offered provisional admission into The Benue State University(BSU), for the 2012/2013 academic session that clearance and registration has commenced.
All the newly admitted students of BSU should follow the steps given below below for checking their admission status and begin their clearance.
You are requested to adhere strictly to the steps outlined below in the checking of admission status, acceptance, screening, and registration process:

Benue State University Clearance & Acceptance Fee Payment For 2012/2013
Step 1. Goto the designated Banks located within Benue State and pay a non-refundable admission checking fee of N400 and obtain a receipt with a pin. The designated banks where you can make payment are:
* Fidelity Bank Plc,
* Mainstreet Bank Plc,
* Oceanic Bank Nigeria Plc,
* United Bank for Africa Plc,
* Zenith Bank Plc,
* Unity Bank Plc,
* Union Bank of Nigeria Plc,
* First Bank of Nigerian Plc.
Step 2. goto the check admission portal of BSU, at www.bsum.edu.ng and then click on “check admission status” under the BSU portal section. When the page loads up, you will be required to Enter your JAMB Registration Number or Application number and click on submit. If you are admitted, you are advice to print it immediately.
Step 3. If you are Successfully admitted, you are expected to proceed to the designated Banks which are listed above and pay a non refundable acceptance fee of NGN5,500 (Five thousand and five hundred naira only) using your JAMB Registration Number or Application Number.
Then Obtain a Bank printout with a pin number.
Step 4. Successful applicants who have accepted their admission (i.e. Persons who has made the BSU Acceptance fee payment) should then proceed to the University website www.bsu.edu.ng when it loads up, click on the admission letter/screening forms link on the University portal using their JAMB Reg. Number to generate their admission letter/screening forms.
Step 5. When you are through with step 4 above, Proceed to your Faculty, present your original academic certificates, admission checking/acceptance fee receipts, admission letter, and screening forms for screening.
Payment details and the date of screening/registration will be released on a later date.
