The Chairman,Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, (ASUP), Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Comrade Tunji Owoeye has said the Federal Government is yet to meet the demands of striking lecturer as being claimed by the Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike Owoeye made this known this afternoon while speaking to FEDPOLAD INFO.
He said,”So far the Federal Government is yet to meet the demands of ASUP,for now we are mobilising the whole Polytechnics in the country for the mother of all rallies in Abuja next week”.

Also the Students’ Union Government had appealed to the Federal Government to meet the demands of the Stiking Lecturer.According to a press statement signed by the Students’ Union General Secretary, Comr. Filani Ifeoluwa and Public Relation Officer, Comrade Yakubu Temitope Tajudeen, the Union frowned at closure of Federal Polytechnics throughout the country,describing the act as barbaric and satanic.
The statement read, “for the past nine months, Polytechnics Students have been on strike and this had contributed to some unlawful acts in the country,We hereby call on President Goodluck Jonathan to strive more harder and give striking Lecturers an avoidable negotiation ground just like he did for their University counterpart”.
