The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has no plan to call off the strike or suspend it yet (as at 6th January, 2014). Many polytechnic students have been asking us questions when ASUP will call off it’s on-going strike.

Latest news on ASUP strike reveals that the union is not ready to suspend the ongoing strike yet.

In another development, LASPOTECH chapter of the Academic State Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) had suspended its strike which started a month ago.

They spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos as they began to trickle into classes after the local ASUP chapter decided to return to classes.

The local chapter had taken the action in spite of the continuation of the strike by the national body which started on April 29.

There are indications that more Polytechnic may pull out of the strike too very soon.

  • Please and please have pity on us the polytechic students.because this strike is really affecting us negatively.and as well affecting the staff of the polytechnics.please,fedgovt.settle the demand of ASUP so as we resum.

    • Please mercy on us the polytecnic students,we are so tired of staying at home idle.and this strike is drawing us far backwards.hence,i will be very happy if this strike is call off pretty soon.!
