Post Utme: What You Should Know About Federal University of Science and Technology Post-Utme Exams

¤¤ FUTO is different from other federal Universities in Nigeria, while other federal universities cut-off mark are high, futo has a UTME cut-off of 180 though this may change by JAMB on the 21st of this month.

¤¤ The Federal University of Science and Technology, Futo Post-Utme examination is not CBT (Computer Based Test)

¤¤ The post-ume nos of questions in Recent year is not constant, it fluctuate.

¤¤ In Futo there are 5 subjects you MUST read/study when preparing for the post ume screening exercise/examination
they are:
* Mathematics
* English
* Chemistry
* Physics
* Biology

¤¤ Futo repeat past UTME questions, it is very important to get Futo UTME past questions in preparation for the post-utme examination

¤¤ You should take note that Futo is a science institution, so your O’Level results should be okay.

What are the requirement when coming to futo post ume aptitude test/examination?

¤¤ Come prepared. Come early to know your center before the post utme examination commence.


¤¤ All the engineering Courses. Ex. Chemical engineering, Petroleum engineering. Etc.

¤¤ Information Technology

¤¤ public Health

¤¤ BioChemistry.

¤¤ Competitive Course are courses that has high number of Candidates applying for it, and this result to the cut-off mark to be higher compare to Non Competitive Courses.

Past Post-UME Cut-Off Mark for some FUTO Courses

¤¤ The Federal University Of Technology Owerri does not normally publish their past cut-off mark for various departments, but we were able to scrape this ones below, this will give you an idea on what to expect.

¤ Informatiom management technology – 220

¤ Civil Engineering – 240

¤ EEE- Electrical Electronic Engineering – 250

¤ Industrial micro biology – 180

¤ Statistic – 180

¤ Computer Science – 200

  1. here is my O’level result. English c5, maths b3, crk c4, geograghy c4, biology is c5, gov c4, chem c6, physicse e8. I wanted to go for science courses bt my result fits in 2 non of bcos of my physics, and now i wnt go for mass com, is my result good enough for it? Pls i realy need d answer urgently.

  2. Kingsley, your result is good for mass comm. about your other question, you can find out if there are free Jamb centers by going to jamb authorized registration centres.
